Join us for a flamenco rhythm circle that will focus on the rhythm of tangos and the community and improvisation of flamenco. We’ll play palmas (rhythmic handclaps), mark the groove with our full body, do call and response segments, and sing letras. It’s a great way to warm-up for the next class or as a stand alone to build your understanding and appreciation of flamenco’s rhythms. The class will follow as show/do model as opposed to discussion/lecture. This is open to musicians, dancers, and aficionados.
